Family Wellness Night

Posted on 04/05/2019

April 4th was Family Wellness Night here at Columbus! It was called Wellness Night because they were trying to work and focus on wellness. It was from 6:00 - 7:30 pm. Zumba was in the gym, yoga was in the cafeteria, mindfulness was in Ms. Dresser’s room, and the book mobile was outside. There were many families attending and having fun.

Mrs. McManus said that she thought one of the fifth grade classes would have the most attendance. Mrs. Starkey thought Mrs. Dunkley had the most people but actually Ms. Stevens had the most people!

Zumba was Mrs. Starkey’s favorite station because of the dancing, music and joyfulness. She thought the inside of the prize bags had trail mix, goldfish, healthy snacks.

Mindfulness was Mrs. McManus’ favorite station because she was teaching only mindfulness. She thought that in the prize bags were fruit snacks and granola bars.

Mrs. Flower’s favorite station was yoga because it was something new for us kids. Mrs. Fowler also thought  Mrs. Dunkley’s class had the most people because 10 kids in total came.

If you missed it don't worry there's still next year! Photo: Kathi Fowler Writers: Sage, Amaya, Madelyn
