Hands-On Learning

It's OK to move slowly in Mrs. Lomas' class...if you are a land snail!

Students had their first opportunity to observe snails and crayfish today in class thanks to the district's FOSS (Full Option Science System) curriculum. 3rd grade teachers have the Structures of Life kit available to them all year.  Snails and crayfish are delivered to the classroom so students can see, feel and smell their creatures.  Fun learning!

In these kits is everything a classroom needs to observe, analyze, discover and hypothesize about science.  In this case, it is really "hands-on". Thank you so Michelle Barff, who inventories, labels and maintains all K-5 kits for the district!
