After-School Programs

The City of McMinnville ParksKids in after-school programs & Recreation Department, in collaboration with the McMinnville School District, is offering a New Kids on the Block program in partnership with Camp Fire Columbia. The program gives first through fifth grade students a safe, fun place to be after school ends.

Space is limited. Click for information about the lottery registration process, and find other information on the KOB page on the City of McMinnville website.

A supplemental program, Success Now! is offered by invitation and is part of the after-school program. Success Now! provides students with the opportunity to work on mastering the skills and concepts they need to meet the standards of their grade level.

After-school programs funded by the 21st Century Community Learning Center grant:

In 2018, the McMinnville School District won a $2.4 million five-year grant to launch a before- and after-school slate of programming for pre-k through 12th grade student. Dubbed "STEAM Ahead: Makerspaces are Creative Places," the programs are designed to improve student achievement. Click to read more about the STEAM Ahead initiative.

Other after-school programs include Homework Help and student clubs.
